Everyone can grow some of their own food
BeAgric started with a simple observation: people are proud of what they grow. A tomato soup made from your own garden tomatoes is worth telling the whole office about. And more people want food they can trust, grown without chemical boosters, close to home.
Most farming software is built for large farms. BeAgric is built for the small grower: the back garden, the allotment, the balcony, the first-time grower who has never sown a seed. We help you decide what to plant, keep your plants healthy, and sell what you don't eat to people nearby.
Buyers get something a supermarket can't give them: the full story of their food. Every BeAgric approved grower keeps a daily diary, with photos and AI health checks, so you can see how the plant you are eating was grown, what problems it had and how they were treated.
How the plant health model was built
The model was trained on 44,894 photos covering 23 plants and 57 plant and condition classes, including 9,811 field photos taken in gardens and farms by our capture partners. It was then tested on 9,616 photos it had never seen.
On that test it named the plant correctly 99.2% of the time, and the plant and its condition together 97.1% of the time. It is weakest on maize grey leaf spot and on telling tomato early blight from target spot, so for those we suggest asking the community or an expert to confirm.
A plant check is a guide, not a diagnosis. Each result shows how confident the model is, and low-confidence results say so.
